Milo personality type is ENFJ, so this is probably why he was drawing so much to that particular aspect. When he's not drawing, though, he's likely to be more INFP.
I think it's safe to say that I've gotten better at drawing, so I'm not as guilty of this. Still, I do have a lot of trouble drawing something from a character's point of view. I can draw a character's back, but I don't know what it's like to be them. One good example is the fan art for "Slender Man." I don't think it's possible to capture the essence of a Slender Man with just one dimension, but that's how I felt about the character. I couldn't draw the character from their perspective because they were another thing entirely.
I think that's how it is for everyone. Your perspective differs from everyone else's viewpoint, so you can't capture what you want to with just one dimension, even if you're trying to give an accurate portrayal of your own perspective.
I think the best way to approach this is to figure out what your vision is and how you want to express it and then look for the best way to do that.
