The ISTP is the purest of the four types, and the one closest to the "Ne" personality type. This is because the ISTP focuses on action, to the exclusion of all other things. They are, in fact, aggressive in their actions, and they are very decisive. The ISTP's way of dealing with other people is to act first, and then figure out what other people think of their actions; they act based on how other people will react to them, to what they feel they can get away with. This is very different from the Ni-users who think about how other people will react to their actions, and thus often choose not to act at all. The ISTP, however, is very confident in what they do.
The ISTP can be very hard to get along with, because they do not like to discuss the details of what they do, and they do not like having their plans and strategies questioned.
