Walid is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn. He is a member of the Carja guard stationed at Daytower. After being sent on a patrol to the east of Daytower by Captain Balahn to investigate rumors of the Corruption, Walid's party was attacked by Corrupted Watchers outside the Forsaken Village. Heeding the words of Lakhir who stressed the importance of reporting back to their captain, Walid managed to retreat back to Daytower. Walid and Lakhir ended up being the only survivors of their patrol.
