I do not know if the Monkey is an actual personality type or not. The Wiki says that in each of the MBTI systems it is represented in its own category in the 16 types.
I think it is an actual personality type because in the system of Jungian psychology Jung assigned it to the function of Thinking. I think this is accurate because in the system of Carl Jung, the MBTI essentially repeats the same basic theory that Carl Jung himself developed. Carl Jung was a psychologist who used his theories to classify different personality types in his Psychological Types. Carl Jung’s theory of personality is very much like Carl Jung’s MBTI theory.
Jung was also very interested in alchemy and he believed that each personality type had its own “fiery” element, which represents the element of energy that drives our personality. Jung believed that each personality type has its own mission in life and that mission is driven by the energy of the type’s element.
