Hercule Poirot personality type is INFJ, so he is an introvert who prefers being alone. The only problem is, there are so many people that he wants to be alone with, he doesn’t always get to choose. (I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but not by much.)
The INFJ is an idealist who wants to be good, to do good. He is not interested in helping others for the sake of helping them. He wants to help because he believes it is the right thing to do. (As an INFJ, I can assure you there are many “right” things to do.) The INFJ wants to make the world a better place for everyone. But, this idealism can lead him to be blind to the fact that sometimes doing what is “right” means doing what is not necessarily the best.
The INFJ knows that his life would be happier if he could just find an ideal mate who would understand his idealism and share his sense of duty. The INFJ doesn’t want to abandon his duty, but he also wants to be free to be himself without worrying about others judging him for it.
