It’s not like Oda is looking for approval or admiration, but he does seem to not only want the approval of his peers but of his superiors. Is he pushing himself to meet expectations? This Oda is pretty different from the Oda I pictured when I was thinking about him. A little more calculating, perhaps, but still vulnerable in multiple ways.
