Dodd personality type is ESTP, while the one that described Hilly is ISTJ.
What really piques my interest is that the ISTJ in Hilly seems to be a lot more developed than the ESTP in Dodd, who seems pretty much like a caricature of a dumb jock. Why is that?
Theory #2: Personality type isn't a matter of "grasping" people's real nature, but of projecting it onto them based on their actions and speech.
I think this is my most compelling theory, and the one that I think might explain the differences (and similarities) between the two characters. I've read it before, but I'll go over it again here, for the benefit of those who haven't seen it:
