I discovered the existence of the Cassie personality type in the introduction to my book ENFP: The Idealist Extravert (2008). (My publisher, iUniverse, actually asked me to include it in the back of the book, in case people might want to know more about ENFP.) I hadn’t thought about Cassie specifically until I read the following article in The Washington Post on August 7, 2011.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” a new TV comedy, has just landed on television. The show centers around Rebecca Bunch, a woman who begins her own romantic relationship with a colleague at her law firm. After her colleague abruptly ends the relationship, Rebecca begins dating other men in the hopes of finding Mr. Right.
Matthew Perry plays Rebecca’s boss Josh Chan, who is also her best friend’s boyfriend. Although Josh doesn’t know it, his character is based on the real-life Josh who works in the same office as Rebecca.
Rebecca is played by Rachel Bloom, an actress famous for her work on the web series “Smash.
