Nana personality type is ESFJ, or the “Nurturing”. This is the type that puts great value on making people feel loved and included, and making sure everyone has a good time.
But – ESFJ can also be “paranoid”. Yes, I know this is a paradox, but here’s why: ESFJs often have a hard time seeing that others are doing things to sabotage them. The Nurturing nature makes them very sensitive to being made to feel as if they don’t have enough. They’ll even go to the extreme of taking those actions personally, even when they are not directed at them.
So they may be affirming and supportive of others, but they will also see enemies everywhere. This is why they are so paranoid – they don’t want others to think they don’t have enough. They will assume that others are trying to make them look bad or not enough, and they will react very defensively.
Their paranoia can also turn into arrogance, which is equally as frustrating for their friends and family as it is for those who may be being slighted.
