Being an ISTP means that you are likely to be original in most of your ideas, your perspective on most things, and most of your actions. You are likely to not follow orders very well, nor do you try very hard to fit in. You are probably not very good at reading other people’s emotions, but you are likely to be pretty adept at reading your own emotions. You are also likely to be pretty good with numbers, but that is probably because you are good at math in general.
I am an ISTP. I have always been an ISTP. I have never had any trouble fitting in anywhere I have ever lived, but I have always been my own person, and I have always been able to think outside of the box in my own way. I have always been able to break the rules in my head when I need to, and I have always been able to think about things in new ways when they are needed.
