Sonic the Hedgehog personality type is ENTP, or extraverted, intuitive, thinking, perceiving. ENTPs have a tendency to be innovative and action-oriented. They love being in the thick of things, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They are usually very independent and reserved, and can be a bit abrupt with people they don’t know well.

In contrast to the cool, detached, scientific type, this personality type is distinctly warm and enthusiastic. ENTPs are often highly creative and inventive, and have a natural tendency to diverge from the norm. They are often very social, outgoing and curious, and enjoy meeting new people.

Like other Extraverted Thinking types, ENTPs use logical analysis and insight to make decisions and solve problems. Like Introverted Thinking types, ENTPs tend to be extremely analytical and logical, and like to use the research and study skills they’ve developed to make decisions and solve problems.

However, unlike ISTJs and ISFJs, ENTPs don’t feel the need to stay within strict bounds or boundaries. While ISTJs feel strongly about rules and boundaries, ENTPs don’t.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a Japanese video game series and media franchise created and owned by Sega. The franchise follows Sonic, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who battles the evil Doctor Eggman, a mad scientist. The main Sonic the Hedgehog games are platformers mostly developed by Sonic Team; other games, developed by various studios, include spin-offs in the racing, fighting, party and sports genres. The franchise also incorporates printed media, animations, a 2020 feature film, and merchandise. Sega developed the first Sonic game, released in 1991 for the Sega Genesis, to compete with Nintendo's mascot Mario. Its success helped Sega become one of the leading video game companies during the fourth generation of video game consoles in the early 1990s. Sega Technical Institute developed the next three Sonic games, plus the spin-off Sonic Spinball. After a hiatus during the unsuccessful Saturn era, the first major 3D Sonic game, Sonic Adventure, was released in 1998 for the Dreamcast.
