Mickey Mouse personality type is ENFJ, so I can see both of your points. I think that there are ways to go about it that are more effective. I think that if you are able to get the person out of the house, you can probably get them to at least go to therapy. This will be a good start if you are serious about getting them the help they need. I don't think that there is anything wrong with trying to help them, but I don't think that every suggestion you make is good.
I don't think that you should try to convince them to go to therapy by getting angry at them. If you are serious about getting them help, then this approach will not work. I would suggest that you try to be more understanding of what they are going through, and that you give them time to think things through.
The other thing that I would suggest is that you try the "lavender" approach. I know that this sounds crazy, but it really can work. Have your husband look at the effect that the behavior has on you, and then try to have him think about how it is affecting other people. This will give him a better idea of the effect that his behavior has on others.
