Shen Yu-Shu personality type is ISTJ, and he is a soft-spoken individual with a mischievous streak. He is a down-to-earth guy who rarely shows emotion and has very little respect for the things he does not understand. However, this usually does not keep him from pursuing what he believes in, as he has proven on multiple occasions.
Although he has a strong belief in Yama's justice, Shen is not above using his own means to get what he wants. He will often resort to underhanded tactics to get what he wants and will never hesitate to resort to violence if necessary. This can be seen when he pushed Yuuya when he was about to kill Shen, as well as when he took out a gun on his own brother.
He also has a strong sense of justice, as shown when he chased Yuuya down after the latter killed Yama. Although Shen was seeking revenge for his master's death, his pursuit of Yuuya was fueled by his sense of justice and the belief that Yuuya deserved to die after killing Yama, who was protecting the city.
