What animal did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a bird! I really liked the idea of being a bird and I also liked the idea of being a cat because I like how they look and how they move and I like that they’re very independent and don’t need other people.
Growing up just before the start of the American Revolution, girls are expected to act like young ladies. But free-spirited Felicity would much rather spend time outdoors or in her father's shop. The war that breaks out between the United States and Great Britain teaches Felicity about courage, and what it means to be truly independent.
