    "It was very difficult on all of us," Forton recalls. "My dad was very bitter towards my mom."

    When Forton was 9 years old, his father died in a car accident. He had been drinking.

    Forton says that his father's death helped him to realize that he didn't want to drink or put himself in situations where he had to drink.

    He was also around guns his whole life.
