He's not very confrontational, but he can fight if he has to. He's not the type to go off on someone like "You're an idiot!" If he has to convince you — and he needs to convince you — he'll do it with his words and his arguments.
What happens with ISFPs is that they have to have things be all or nothing for them. His vision of the world is that there are great people on both sides of the equation. There are people who do great things and there are people who do awful things. But with the ISFP, it's all or nothing. So if he sees you as an awful person, then there's no reason for him to get along with you. So if he sees you as an awful person, then he will fight with you or try to make sure you don't get what you want. In that sense, it's a very confrontational personality type.
