As a child, Jamal was a loyal and dutiful son and brother. As a young adult, he was a quiet, introspective and private man who enjoyed reading and exploring the world. Though he was kind and thoughtful, Jamal didn’t do well with crowds. He was observant and analytical and saw the world as a puzzle to be solved, but his tendency to keep to himself made many feel as if they were intruding on his privacy.
