Onoda Sakamichi personality type is INFP, but does not have to be. I don’t know if there are others like him, but I think he has the potential to be a lot more than just an ordinary villager.
What’s really interesting is that he isn’t even fully aware of his own potential.
I’ve said this before, but it’s important to realize that the real Sakamichi doesn’t realize he’s special. He’s just a normal, unremarkable high school student who really, really wants to join the military.
He’s not special at all! It’s just that his “Ego” is so low that he doesn’t even realize he can become much more than what everyone else thinks.
With his low Ego, it’s much easier to let his “Ideal” guide him in how to act and what to do.
When you realize that you can do much more than you think you can, it becomes much easier to act on your “Ideal” and live your life as your true self.
