Jorel is a career-minded ISTP, who is driven by his ambition. He's extremely good at his job, but he doesn't let the rewards of passion consume him. He plays by the rules, but when it comes to war, he's one of the most ruthless commanders around. It's no surprise that he's the only Jorel to have survived the Templar's assault on the Castle of Lions.
Jorel is an older, more experienced version of Neira. He's still immature in some ways, but he is far more level-headed than his younger sister. He's also more mellow than Neira, and not nearly as aggressive. He's also not nearly as obsessed with the process of war as Neira is.

Jor-El, originally known as Jor-L, is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, Jor-El first appeared in a newspaper comic strip in 1939 with Superman. Jor-El is Superman's biological father, the husband of Lara, and a leading scientist on the planet Krypton before its destruction. He foresees his planet's fate but is unable to convince his colleagues in time to rescue most of Krypton's inhabitants. Jor-El is able to save his infant son Kal-El by launching him towards Earth in a homemade spaceship just moments before Krypton explodes. When Superman later constructs his headquarters, the Fortress of Solitude, he honors his biological parents with the inclusion of a statue of Jor-El and Lara holding up a globe of Krypton. Jor-El is usually portrayed as closely resembling the character Superman. Jor-El was portrayed by Marlon Brando in the films Superman, Superman II and Superman Returns.
