Royal Recruit personality type is INFP, as I have been stating all along. The fact that you are seeing not just a few but many other INFPs (and NPs and even some ENPs) in the same period of time means that the archetype is being expressed in more people than usual. We are seeing more natural expressions of the archetype than usual, and more people are feeling their impact.
When I wrote about the history of the archetype, I said:
In fact, it seems to be a pattern from the beginning of the archetype that people who feel the pull of this archetype are often those who are natural rebels, who question the status quo and are uncomfortable with the existing structure of things. They have a feeling that something is wrong and they don’t know what it is. Like the idealist/realist dichotomy, this is another way of saying that the INFP feels a tension between her true self and her social role. She is torn between the urge to express her authentic self and the desire to fit in. As a result of this conflict, she is both attracted to and repulsed by the idealistic rebel archetype, and she has trouble juggling the two conflicting tendencies. This is what makes her feel so conflicted.
