Oh Bong-Yi personality type is ISFP, so I'm not sure whether or not to believe her. But yes, she seems to have a lot of insight. She could be wrong, but I do think she has a very strong viewpoint. And that's why I have a really hard time believing that she would have let her son go through all that pain and torture without being exposed. Her boy must have been a really good actor. Which means she must have a good intuition. I could be wrong, though.
I do believe that she was emotionally involved with her son's suffering, but not necessarily in a way that would allow her to ignore the pain. She would have been very sad and even wounded by such cruelty. But she would probably not have run away from responsibility like the mother in the movie did. She probably would have done what she could to stop it, but secretly hoped that she could help her son in some way.
And maybe that's the difference between S and N: N tends to do things instinctively and S tends to be more introverted and think things through before making a decision. S has a stronger sense of responsibility and N is more willing to let things happen naturally and take things as they come.
