Naruse Jun personality type is INFP, the same as his Tokiwa! Tokiwa! Tokiwa! character, and I’m not surprised.
Ai Yazawa is the one who introduced me to Haruhi, and it’s weird that I feel like she was the one who made me interested in Kyon’s character. I think Yazawa has the biggest inspiration for Kyon’s character, and she’s definitely the most interesting character in this novel.
I think the most surprising thing about this novel is how much it doesn’t feel like Haruhi. It’s like Haruhi was just a means to an end, like the PTA president who has to keep her job to keep her husband happy. This novel is all about Hatori, and I think that’s why it doesn’t feel like Haruhi. I don’t know why I was expecting Haruhi-ness from this manga, but it never came.
I think I felt more sympathy for Kyon than I have in any other novel. He’s so lonely, and he never finds anyone to connect to.
