The researchers found that ENFPs were more likely to be misdiagnosed as ADHD than other types of extroverts.
"The ENFP's natural charisma, talent for leadership, and good memory might make them appear to be ADHD," said the authors. "The ENFP's high energy level could also make it appear that they are hyperactive.
"However, the ENFP should be considered for a diagnosis of ADHD only if they exhibit multiple symptoms of inattention or impulsivity."
The findings were published online in the Journal of Personality Disorders.
