Hakumen no Mono is one of the most important characters in BlazBlue. He was one of the central heroes of the BlazBlue story, and his actions were a turning point for the series.
Interestingly, he was also the first character that we developed using the Hakumen no Mono personality type. We started drawing him before we even had a name for the personality type.
Hakumen no Mono is based on the stereotype of that type. His personality actually started out as a parody. The original character just laid there and did nothing.
We were afraid that he would be boring, so we gave him an intense, dramatic personality. We also made sure to make him a reliable fighter who makes good use of his abilities, which came from his core personality.
