Dan personality type is INFP, which is an introverted feeling intuition type. For the most part, people in-between the extremes of the spectrum are seen as “average” in terms of how they identify themselves. We all have our quirks and tastes, but when it comes to our personality, we generally see ourselves in a two-dimensional way—one that doesn’t account for nuances in our behaviors, in the way that we react in certain situations, in our choice of hobbies, in our daily routines.

As an INFP, I see myself as having an uncanny ability to empathize with other people’s feelings—to understand what they’re thinking and feeling. This ability, combined with my desire to help others, has led me to be (or at least appear) an open-minded, empathetic person. But this is all a ruse.
