My mother and I lived in a small town in Alabama and we did not have a lot of money. My mom did not have a lot of money for nice things. We lived across the street from the cotton gin and it smelled terrible. The mule was covered in manure. It was very scary. I remember my mom taking me to the doctor and the doctor said, “You’re going to grow up to be a doctor or a lawyer.” He kind of laughed. I thought, “Well, why would an intelligent doctor say that?” But he did and I was very sad and I went to see a psychiatrist. He said, “You’re an empath and you don’t know how to deal with your emotions. You need to learn from your mother how to deal with your emotions.” So my parents would have me watch her when she had her emotions and they would teach me how to deal with my emotions. So I grew up with an understanding that my emotions were different from other people’s emotions.
Pretty interesting story. I wonder if they ever figured out what type she was, though.
