Dude personality type is ESFP, and I'm an introvert. I've been dating a girl for a year now, and we're about to go to our first relationship counseling session. The problem is, I think we're not compatible as a couple; we don't really like the same things, we don't really like each other's friends, and we don't really like each other's personality.
I'm afraid she'll say something like: "Well, we don't like your personality and we don't like your friends and we don't like the things you like. So it doesn't make any sense that we'd be together." I'm afraid that there's nothing we can do to change that.
What if she says that? How should I respond?
I don't want to lose her, and I don't want to lose my friendship with her. But on the other hand, I don't want to have a relationship with someone who doesn't see me as a person.
There are a lot of reasons this relationship hasn't worked out so far, but I think the biggest thing is that she hasn't been able to see me as a person.
