Jonathan personality type is ISFP, so I’d considered him incapable of being destructive. He’s constantly carrying around his broken heart for four years, which is one thing you can say about him. But what I never quite understood was why he didn’t just transfer to a different school. It was so clear that he was in love with Annabeth, and Annabeth obviously loved him back, but they didn’t end up together. They made it work for four years, but when Percy left, Annabeth seemed to end up with Luke. I didn’t understand why Annabeth couldn’t just be with Percy, but I guess that’s the way it is when you’re in love. (And why did Annabeth never contact Percy again? I mean, I know she had Luke, but still.)
I adored Annabeth. When she left the group, I felt like she had truly betrayed them. We all knew that Percy would never be able to be with Annabeth after he left, but I felt that they would be able to be friends again. I was shocked when she went on the quest for the sword, and even more surprised when she ended up with Luke.
