He is commonly seen suffering comically due to always being the one to get hurt in situations, and never being able to get a woman except Sumirei Ando, whom he finds very unattractive.
He consistently gets into trouble with either the media or old women tracking him down and following him everywhere. He tries to sneak away, but ends up always getting caught in the end. Near the middle of the series, Kodomo no Omocha gets cancelled, and he is forced to take the new job as host of 'Old-Lady's Toy', where he suffers more than ever as the women torture him constantly. Near the end of the series, he and Sana re-join forces, and convince the T.V. station to bring back Kodomo no Omocha. Back in his new job, he is much happier, even if his job still entails getting hurt.
