In Volume 3, Echizen and his friends had to rescue their friend when she was kidnapped by the Meitantei Shouya who wanted to use her as a hostage. Echizen and his friends managed to rescue her, but when they went to the police station to report it, they were told by the police that their friend was kidnapped by a man named Shouya. Echizen's friends thought that the police made a mistake so they decided to investigate on their own. They found out that Shouya really used his name, but the people who kidnapped their friend were actually members of the Kansai-kai who wanted to kill their friend.
Echizen's friends managed to infiltrate the Kansai-kai's headquarters and took care of them. Once they killed them, they looked for their friend Haru, but she wasn't there.
