Life in America
At the age of five, Sakuraoka moved to New Jersey. She started learning English when she was in fourth grade. She went through many moves until she met her best friend Hiro in sixth grade. She learned English with her friend’s help.
Sakuraoka learned French and Latin in school. After she finished learning Latin, her parents bought her a book about the Greek and Roman gods and goddesses and their stories.
