Vash personality type is ENTP, a type that is often mistaken for a certain type in media, namely INTP. The latter is the type given in the anime and manga. I also think that the Vash personality type is INTP, or at least I recognize INTP's logic and intellectual capacity, but the connection between the two is very tenuous. I can't think of any link between Vash and INTP, and I haven't seen any "official" source that establishes the two as being the same.
I got into anime in 2005 and started watching anime in 2010, and it wasn't until 2012 that I saw the anime and manga versions of Steins;Gate. The anime and manga versions of Steins;Gate do not seem to be identical to each other. They seem to be very different from each other, since they do not agree on many things when it comes to the Vash personality.
