Toya started out as part of the popular girl group TLC in the early 90s, and she was a fan favorite - even if she did get a bit over-the-top with her songs. But she left the group in 2014 after a serious health issue with her brother, who died shortly after of meningitis.
Toya went on to release a solo album of her songs, Unbreakable Smile, in 2015, and she's been working on new music ever since.
