Bktherula personality type is ISFP, and I have to go with that.
NathanielGrafton I disagree with the ISFP being the same as the INFP, but I do agree that the ISFP is a very similar type to the INFP.
In my experience, a lot of the characteristics of the ISFP are similar to the INFP - they both love art, they both value social interactions, they both tend to struggle with their inner feelings and personal identity, they both have deep sensitivity, they both have a sort of deep longing for connection but often have trouble expressing it in a healthy way, etc.
I tend to think of them as very similar types. The main difference is that the ISFP does not feel like they have to express themselves with art; they can express themselves in many other ways.
But at the end of the day, I think it is very hard to tell types apart when we are talking about people who are in our lives. It is fairly easy to tell them apart when we are talking about people we don't know. But when people become more than acquaintances, it gets much harder to tell them apart.
