"Back in the day, I was just seen as weird," he says. "I was an outsider. I was different than everyone else."
The people around Lewis wanted him to act like everyone else. He didn't.
"I'm still an outsider," Lewis says. "I'm still weird."
Despite how he felt, Lewis was not raised to be the type of person who would be an outsider.
"I was raised to be a typical teenager," he says. "I didn't have to be an outsider."
Lewis was born in Houston, Texas, but has lived in Fort Worth for two years while attending Texas Wesleyan University. His ESTJ parent's career path led him to Fort Worth, while his ISFP mother's career path led her here.
"I'm still different," Lewis says.
Aaron Lewis (born April 13, 1972) is an American singer, songwriter and musician, who is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and founding member of the alternative metal band Staind, with whom he released seven studio albums. He has also enjoyed a successful solo career in country music with his debut EP Town Line, which was released on March 1, 2011 on Stroudavarious Records. Lewis' first full-length solo release, The Road, was released by Blaster Records on November 13, 2012.
