What’s your favorite moment from the book?
My favorite moment is the very first one. It’s on page 10 of the book. He just goes into this whole story about some of his early days as a young manager, and he was doing this job for a rock and roll band in Atlanta. He had this meeting with this record company and they wanted to sign the band to a record deal, but they said, “Yeah, we like you and we like your ideas and we like your presentation and we like the way you think and the way you talk about music and all that stuff, but we don’t know if we want you to manage the band.” [Laughter].
So they said, “Well, we’re going to give you the right to say yes or no to us, but you’ve got to do it within 30 days.”
Steven Tyler (born Steven Victor Tallarico; March 26, 1948) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and former television music competition judge, best known as the lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, in which he also plays the harmonica, and occasional piano and percussion. He is known as the "Demon of Screamin'" due to his high screams and his wide vocal range. He is also known for his on-stage acrobatics.
