Udo Dirkschneider personality type is ESTP, and he is the singer of the German thrash metal band Accept. He was voted as the Best Live Act of the Year by readers of Metal Hammer Germany in both 2006 and 2007.
His career started in 1980 when he formed the band U.D.O. with his brother Stefan, which soon changed its name to Accept.
The band decided to adopt the name Accept in 1982. They chose this name because they considered it to be short and easy to pronounce, yet also strong enough to represent their music. The band's first album was released in 1984. It was titled "Stalingrad", after the battle which depicted a turning point in the Battle of Stalingrad. The album was released on Virgin Records and it was followed by a European tour with Raven and Raven's follow-up band Rage.
Accept was dropped from Virgin Records in 1985 when the label deemed their music too "heavy" for their label. They were quickly signed by Neue Deutsche Welle (known as NDR) for which they recorded the EP "Metal Heart". In 1986, the band released their second album, "Restless & Wild".
Udo Dirkschneider is a German heavy metal singer who rose to fame with German heavy metal band Accept. After leaving Accept in 1987, he formed U.D.O., with whom he has enjoyed commercial success as well.
