    Lou Barlow
    INFP

    INFP (9w1)

Lou Barlow personality type is INFP, but his career blurs the line between F and I. He’s constantly putting his own issues into little playlets that also help him deal with the larger ones that he’s juggling.

I’ve known him since his days with Bright Eyes, and it’s always been clear that he’s an incredibly hard worker who loves to see his projects through. He’s not afraid to break a sweat over details, but he also makes time for the big picture stuff.

This week I got to watch for the first time his new CBC series, Dragons’ Den, which should be an interesting experience. After all, he goes from being a musician to a businessman, and from being a businessman to a musician.

In my chats with him, I often bring up the subject of creativity and what it means to be creative, and I think he understands that point of view better than most artists do. He’s very sensitive to what makes us happy and what brings us joy. That’s why for him, the big picture stuff is the main thing, and the details are just a by-product of that.

Louis Knox Barlow is an American alternative rock musician and songwriter. A founding member of the groups Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and The Folk Implosion, Barlow is credited with helping to pioneer the lo-fi style of rock music in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His first band, in Amherst, Massachusetts, was Deep Wound.
