Taylor and his bandmates got back together in 1979 and changed their name to Duran Duran. At this point, his older sister was in the band and she proposed the name change because she was tired of people referring to her brother as Durrant Duran Duran.
Roger Taylor (born 26 April 1960) is an English musician, best known as the drummer of the new wave band Duran Duran from their inception until 1985, and again from 2001 onwards.
