This is what we did:
We had a two-day shoot, and we did a bunch of takes, and we did a bunch of retakes. But we shot all of the takes in order — we did not shoot the retakes in order. We took breaks, and we broke up the scene into smaller parts.
We got a lot of coverage, but it's not like we were doing a movie; we had to be very efficient with our time. We shot all of the takes in order. All of our coverage was done in one and a half days.
We did eight hours of coverage and had some downtime, and we did four hours of coverage and had some downtime. The good thing is we were able to do some retakes while we were really fresh — while we were still on day one — while we were still on day two. We could go back and do different takes on the same scene, and it wasn't too much of a strain because we really nailed the first take.
