“He said, ‘If you want to be on Broadway, you can be on Broadway. But if you want to be a doctor—you have to get better grades in school, you have to go to college. You have to get a job. You can’t spend your life dreaming about being on Broadway.’ ”
Travis took his dad’s advice seriously. He worked hard in high school, attended Gonzaga University, and was accepted into medical school.
