Lynne personality type is ENFP, the extrovert, intuitive, feeling, perceptive, people-oriented type. I am so happy to have found this forum! I have been struggling with the same thing for years. I have four kids, whom I love dearly. I am in my late 30s and in my last two years of graduate school. My husband is in his early 40s and in his last year of law school. We were married when I was in my early 20s, and we struggled through the first few years of parenthood. My husband is an introvert (all he knows how to do is do research) and I am extremely extroverted (all I know how to do is talk). I was sure our marriage was doomed when he told me he didn't like all the talking I was doing when I came home from friends' houses. Finally, in my 40s, my husband has learned how to be an introvert. He loves me just the way I am, but sometimes he doesn't want to talk. Though we are each other's best friends, it doesn't come naturally to him. We have agreed that when one of us wants to talk, the other will listen and then don't talk back.
