Cari Fletcher personality type is ESFP, and I am a visual artist. The ESFP personality is the artist type. I have a feeling that if I had not been an artist and had an opposite type, it would have been the ENTJ or the INTJ. It was the artist part of me that made me a visual artist.
Fletcher: How did you first get involved with typology?
Green: I was always interested in type. When I was in high school, I actually took several classes in it. I took a class on different personality types. That was really my introduction to the subject.
Fletcher: What were some of the findings from those classes?
Green: The most important thing I learned was how little there is to know about types and what they mean. It became very clear that there are no hard-and-fast rules about types, and there are no right or wrong types.
Fletcher: What was your most surprising result?
Green: My most surprising result was that the way you rate people on personality tests doesn't give you much insight into who they are.
