Scud personality type is ISTP, and I am certainly an ISTP. I cannot recall a single moment of my childhood where I was not motivated by the desire to go out and explore the world. I have always been curious, and have experienced much of my life as an observer. My dominant function, Introverted Sensing, enjoys objects that can be observed, touched, or tasted.
This is supported by the fact that I find it difficult to focus on one thing for too long. For instance, if I am in a room with four chairs, and one has a book in it, I will immediately pick it up and look at it, even if I've already read it. As a child, I would often find myself in the middle of my room, with a book in one hand, and a flashlight in the other, just as my parents were walking down the hall. I enjoyed using my imagination and observing how different things worked.
When I was younger, my mother would often ask me to find things that were lost, or get her lost items back. This natural talent for finding things is also supported by other types, such as ISFPs.
