What is the personality type of Syd Barrett? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Syd Barrett from Rock Other and what is the personality traits.
Syd Barrett personality type is INFP, to which I have no comment. It is perhaps too obvious to point out, but the image of the band is not just a rock band. It’s a community of people united by music. And it’s a community that is reflected in the reactions to their songs.
I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd since I was about 12 years old. Having heard them for so long, I can easily say that nearly every song they ever made is “great”. To my mind, every song they ever wrote is great.
But what separates Pink Floyd from other bands with deep catalogs? It’s their timelessness. Their music sounds as good as it did 45 years ago as it does now. It sounds as good as it did when it was first released. It sounds as good today as it did in 1973, and it will still sound like new tomorrow. That’s why Pink Floyd is a great example of a band whose music has stood the test of time and has become a touchstone for future generations.
This is why I think Pink Floyd is important to me.
Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett (6 January 1946 – 7 July 2006) was an English singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and painter. Best known as a founding member of the band Pink Floyd, Barrett was the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter in its early years and is credited with naming the band. Barrett was excluded from Pink Floyd in April 1968 after David Gilmour took over as their new guitarist, and was briefly hospitalised amid speculation of mental illness.
