The duo state themselves as polar opposites: while Lee is quiet and confident, Alan is loud and insecure. Playing live is overwhelming for Alan: "I think I spend much of my time subconsciously/consciously looking for attention, and when I finally have it I don’t know what to do with it. Playing live frightens me – I often want to leave through the back door before a show."
