Elliott Smith personality type is INFP, with a ton of ENFP, INFJ, and ENTP thrown in for good measure.
It’s the same argument I have every time I hear it. The thing is, they are right. I have always been an INFP. The only thing that changed is that 7-8 years ago I started to identify less with the label, and more with the person.
I think my type is pretty obvious once you look at my personality in context with the rest of my writing. I’m not very good at writing in general, but I’ve always had a particular interest in understanding why people are the way they are. I’m not very good at expressing myself, but when I do it’s usually because I’ve been thinking about it for a while.
I’m also really bad at talking about myself. I’m not proud of this fact. It makes me uncomfortable, but it’s kind of my thing. I’m not sure how to explain it, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that I really like listening to people talk about themselves.
