Brian personality type is ENFP, and I always thought that this would make for a great friendship. Our personalities and values (which we both recognized) clicked so well, yet somehow it never happened. A few years ago I approached him with an idea for a book. He agreed, but didn't have the time to do it. This was long before I was famous, so it wasn't until he saw my name on the cover of my first book that he realized I was the person he had been talking about. A few weeks later he contacted me with an idea for a book that he wanted me to write, which became his first book, The Bully Under My Skin. The book was extremely well written, which is why he chose to have it published by my publisher, John Wiley & Sons. Years later, when I was asked what my favorite books are, he chose one of his. It was an exciting time for me, since this meant I had finally started a friendship with him.
When he gave me this book, he said, "This is the book I want you to write." It became my first book, but not my last. He later asked me to write the preface for an anthology of essays that he had collected.
