Description
The Explorer Helmet's design is inspired by the helmet worn by Indiana Jones. In the film Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones wears a fedora hat with a similar design. This is also why the Explorer Helmet has the same color scheme and is of the same type as Indiana Jones' hat. It's also worth noting that "Explorer" is the name of the character Indiana Jones is based on.
The Explorer Helmet was originally released on December 12, 2013, during the Christmas Update. The Explorer Helmet was not available to purchase, but was awarded to users who completed the 2015 Easter Event. It was available from May 20, 2015 until July 6, 2015, during the 2015 Easter Event. On July 31, 2015, it was released for purchase for 2,000 NX. It was re-released for the 2017 Valentine's Day Event.
