I’m not sure that I can put my finger on what makes this novel (yes, the book, too, not just the movie) remarkable, but I am compelled to go ahead and say it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the author of the book, or more likely the director of the movie, had seen the film at some point and decided to make it even better. (Like the film, this book features one of my favorite scenes, where Leonardo DiCaprio is peering around a corner to see if the coast is clear for him to steal some money.)
I read this book in a single sitting, and at least once a year, I read it again.
